Gorgeous at a Certain Age

Gorgeous at a Certain Age

I have a few new heroes—or to be grammatically precise, a few new heroines.  Each demonstrates something I really admire: To live your life they way you choose, no matter what your chronological age or what cultural conventions dictate.

Take a look at this video, a commercial for a British TV show starring women of a certain age who love fashion and don’t “give a toss” whether they’re dressing the way a dowager is supposed to. They’ll wear miniskirts to show off great gams, keep their hair silver and boldly cut, and sport wildly colored accessories that both celebrate their sense of style and call attention to themselves.  Not a shrinking violet in the bunch.

I know I’d much rather sit next to them at a dinner party than a granny in sensible tweed. Brava.

A motivating discussion is worth comment. There’s no doubt that that you ought to publish more
on this issue, it might not be a taboo matter but generally people do not discuss these topics.
    To the next! Cheers!!
